53% Carmenère; 47% Syrah
2009 was a year of very good weather conditions, with a dry and warm spring and summer. With very good healthy conditions, we harvested at the perfect point of ripening, a full 2 weeks earlier than average. The crisp acidity and intense flavours made a difference in our second vintage of Casa Rosé.
Our 2009 Rosé comes from a selection of bleedings from our best lots of Syrah and Carmenère.Before the alcoholic fermentation, we reserve a volume of grape juice from selected lots of Syrah and Carmenère that is then fermented in stainless steel tanks at low temperature, just like a white wine. The result is a Rosé with a sexy pink color, delicate aromas, nice and expressive acidity, and with a pleasant mouth feel.
Color: Bright and intense pink robe. Nose: Delicate aromas of raspberries and red wild berries. Touches of sweet citrus and nectarine.Palate: Fresh palate with vivid acidity, light body with a very pleasant finish.Service and Food Pairing: Perfect for fresh vegetable salads, sea food and appetizers. Serve well chilled from 6 to 8° C (42°F to 46°F).
